Frequently Asked Questions

What to Expect at Your First Visit
We offer complimentary consultations to better understand your needs and answer any questions before your first exam.
Your initial exam will likely be longer than a standard cleaning, as it begins with a comprehensive assessment of your current oral health. This allows us to determine if any care by a dentist is required and identify the treatments that can be provided immediately by our team. From there, we will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.
As part of our commitment to preventive care, we also provide a complimentary oral cancer screening during this and every subsequent visit.
The starting cost for a new client adult exam is $131. This one-time comprehensive assessment allows us to fully evaluate your dental health and create a care plan tailored to you. In most cases, this fee is covered by your dental insurance or through the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

The starting price for an adult exam is $131. This is a one-time fee for a comprehensive assessment, which includes evaluating your dental health and planning appropriate care. In most cases, this cost is covered by your insurance or the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
Billing and Insurance
Do you offer direct billing?
Yes! At MCDH we offer direct billing to most insurance companies, and the Canadian Dental Care Plan.
Do you bill direct to the Canadian Care Dental Plan?
Absolutely. We offer direct billing for all services covered under the CDCP.
If you are unsure about your eligibility or want to learn more about which services are included, please visit the official Canadian Dental Care Plan website for more information.
Mobile & Long-Term Care Visits
If I choose a home visit, can you provide service to my entire family in one appointment?
Yes, if you choose to have a member of our team come to your home, we will be happy to provide service to multiple people while on the premises. Some clients find this to be a much more convenient way to receive care than the traditional dental care model.
Can I make an appointment on behalf of a loved one in a care home or who is home-bound?
MCDH offers mobile service to individuals living in long-term care facilities, and can also offer home visits. Contact us to set up their first appointment.
Referrals
What happens if I require the care of a dentist?
We have trusted relationships with several dentists throughout our service area. If we discover you have an issue which requires the care of a dentist, we will make a referral for you to see them, or if you already have a dentist we can refer you directly to them with no additional fees.
